– 2 large sweet onions, sliced into 1/4-inch rings

– 1 cup all-purpose flour (plus more for dredging)

– 1 teaspoon paprika

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– Salt and black pepper to taste

– 1 cup beer (lager or ale works well)
