Cajun Surf and Turf Skillet with Bell Peppers and Onions

For the Protein:
Shrimp:
1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
1 tsp garlic powder
Steak:
1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into strips
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
1 tsp smoked paprika
For the Vegetables:
1 green bell pepper (sliced)
1 red bell pepper (sliced)
1 yellow bell pepper (optional, sliced)
1 large onion (sliced)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Sauce:
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
1 tsp Cajun seasoning
1 tbsp butter
Optional:
Cooked rice or pasta as a base
Fresh parsley for garnish

Step 1: Marinate the Protein
Toss shrimp with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, and garlic powder. Set aside.
Season steak strips with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, and smoked paprika. Set aside.
Step 2: Cook the Steak and Shrimp
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear steak strips for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, cook shrimp for 1-2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
Step 3: Sauté the Vegetables
Add olive oil to the skillet and toss in the sliced bell peppers and onions.
Season with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
Sauté for 5-7 minutes until tender but still slightly crisp.
Step 4: Prepare the Sauce
Lower the heat and add butter to the skillet. Let it melt.
Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Cajun seasoning.
Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Step 5: Combine and Serve
Return the cooked steak, shrimp, and vegetables to the skillet. Toss to coat everything in the sauce.
Serve over a bed of rice or pasta, or enjoy as-is for a low-carb option.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
