1 lb (450g) ground chicken
1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
1/2 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
4 burger buns
Lettuce, tomato slices, and mayonnaise for serving
Directions:
In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, spinach, cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until evenly incorporated.
Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties.
Heat a non-stick skillet or grill pan over medium heat and lightly oil it.
Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the patties are golden brown.
Toast the burger buns lightly on the skillet or grill pan.
Assemble the burgers by layering lettuce, tomato slices, and the chicken patty on the buns. Add a dollop of mayonnaise or your favorite condiments.
