Prep the Shrimp:

Pat shrimp dry with paper towels.
If using shell-on shrimp, keep the tail on for extra flavor and presentation. Otherwise, use peeled and deveined shrimp for easier eating.
Heat the Skillet:
Place a well-seasoned cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.
Add olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter. Once melted and hot, add the shrimp in a single layer.
Sear the Shrimp:
Cook shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side, until they begin to turn opaque and pink-orange with a slight char.
Add garlic and chili flakes, stir gently, and cook for another 30–45 seconds, being careful not to burn the garlic.
Add Butter & Finish:
Lower heat to medium. Add remaining butter and lemon juice to the skillet.
Spoon the melted butter sauce over the shrimp as it bubbles, glazing them in the garlic-lemon butter.
Garnish & Serve:
Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley.
Serve hot straight from the skillet, with crusty bread or over rice, pasta, or a fresh salad.
