Ingredients:
For the Meatballs:
1 lb ground beef
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp dried oregano
Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Mashed Potatoes:
2 lbs russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup whole milk
Salt and pepper, to taste
For Assembly:
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan
1/2 cup marinara sauce (optional for topping)
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Directions:
Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). In a large pot, boil potatoes until fork-tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and mash with butter, milk, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Form into small meatballs and bake on a lined tray for 15 minutes or until cooked through.
In a greased baking dish, spread mashed potatoes evenly. Nestle in the meatballs and top with marinara sauce if using. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan over the top.
Bake for 15β20 minutes until golden and bubbly. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
