Ingredients
-
1 box (18.4 oz) brownie mix (fudge-style preferred)
-
3 large eggs
-
1/4 cup water
-
1/2 cup vegetable oil
-
1/2 cup sour cream
-
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-
1/2 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk)
-
1/2 cup hot fudge sauce (plus extra for drizzling)
-
Pinch of salt
-
Optional: chopped nuts or mini marshmallows
Instructions
Step 1 – Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
Step 2 – Mix the Batter
In a large mixing bowl, combine:
-
Brownie mix
-
Eggs
-
Water
-
Oil
-
Sour cream
-
Vanilla extract
-
Salt
Stir until well blended. The batter will be thick – that’s perfect!
Step 3 – Add the Good Stuff
Fold in the chocolate chips and gently swirl in 1/2 cup of hot fudge sauce. Do not fully mix the fudge; you want streaks!
Step 4 – Bake
Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs (not wet batter). If the top browns too quickly, loosely cover with foil halfway through.
Step 5 – Cool and Serve
Let the bread cool in the pan for 15–20 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Drizzle with extra hot fudge sauce before slicing.
