Garlic Butter Fettuccine and Shrimp

ingredients
8 oz fettuccine or any long type of pasta
water to boil the pasta
3-4 tbsp salt (for pasta water)
1-2 cups pasta water
1 lb raw shrimp, peeled, deveined, and tail off (jumbo size, thawed if frozen)
1 tbsp lemon pepper seasoning
1 tbsp old bay seasoning
1 tbsp paprika
5 tbsp butter, divided
1 tbsp olive oil
7-8 garlic cloves, minced (adjust to taste)
juice of 1 lemon
3 oz parmesan cheese, freshly grated
a pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
salt and pepper to taste
parsley flakes for garnish (optional)

directions
1️⃣ Season the shrimp with lemon pepper, old bay, and paprika. Ensure they are well coated.

2️⃣ Boil water for the pasta. Add salt and pasta. Cook until al dente according to package directions. Set aside 1-2 cups of pasta water.

3️⃣ Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter over medium heat. Once the butter is foaming, add shrimp. Cook for 1.5-2 minutes per side. Remove from pan and set aside.

4️⃣ In the same pan, melt the remaining 4 tbsp of butter over low/medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.

5️⃣ Add pasta water, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes. Stir quickly. Reduce heat to low. Add cooked pasta and parmesan cheese. Stir until cheese is completely melted.

6️⃣ Add shrimp and toss well. Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with parsley flakes if desired. Enjoy!
