Cheesy Scalloped Potato and Beef Casserole

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, chopped

3 cups thinly sliced potatoes

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

1/2 cup milk

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp paprika (optional)

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Cook ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Layer half the sliced potatoes in the dish, top with half the beef, and sprinkle with half the cheese. Repeat layers.

Whisk soup and milk together, then pour evenly over the casserole.

Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Uncover, top with remaining cheese, and bake 15–20 more minutes until potatoes are tender and top is golden.
