Easy, Delicious, and Totally Worth It!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups granulated sugar (adjust quantity as needed)
- 1–2 whole vanilla beans
Instructions:
- Split the Vanilla Beans
- Using a sharp knife, slice the vanilla bean lengthwise.
- Scrape out the seeds (also called “vanilla caviar”).
- Mix with Sugar
- Add the vanilla seeds and the scraped pod(s) into a clean glass jar.
- Pour in the sugar.
- Seal the jar and shake or stir to evenly distribute the seeds.
- Let It Infuse
- Store in a cool, dry place for at least 1 week.
- Shake the jar every couple of days to mix and enhance flavor.

Storage Tip:
- Keep the jar sealed tightly.
- It can last for several months and actually gets better with time!
Extra Ideas:
- Refill the jar with more sugar as you use it — the vanilla bean will keep infusing.
- You can blend the vanilla and sugar for a finer texture like in your image (optional but great for baking).
How to Use It:
- In baking (cookies, cakes, muffins)
- Stirred into tea, coffee, or hot chocolate
- Sprinkled on fruit, oatmeal, or toast
