Shrimp & Steak Fried Rice

1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 lb steak, thinly sliced
3 cups cooked rice (preferably day-old)
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp vegetable oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 onion, chopped
1 cup frozen peas and carrots, thawed
2 eggs, lightly beaten
2 green onions, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add steak slices, season with salt and pepper, and stir-fry until browned; remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add shrimp and cook until pink and cooked through; remove and set aside.
Add sesame oil to the skillet and sauté garlic and onion until softened.
Stir in peas and carrots, cooking for 2-3 minutes.
Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet and pour in beaten eggs, scrambling until fully cooked.
Add the cooked rice to the skillet, mixing it with the vegetables and eggs.
Return the steak and shrimp to the skillet, stirring everything together.
Drizzle with soy sauce, mix well, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Notes:
For extra flavor, add a splash of oyster sauce or a pinch of red pepper flakes.
