4 bone-in pork chops

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 teaspoons garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh herbs (like thyme or rosemary), optional

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Rub the pork chops with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Heat an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.

Transfer the skillet to the oven and roast for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

Let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Scalloped Potato Casserole

4 large potatoes, thinly sliced

2 cups heavy cream

1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)

1 onion, thinly sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a greased baking dish, layer half of the potatoes, followed by half of the onions and half of the cheese. Repeat the layers.
