  • 4 tablespoons olive oil or unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

  1. Heat the Oil: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil or butter over medium heat.
  2. Cook the Garlic: Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) to the skillet. Sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
  3. Add the Shrimp: Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink.
  4. Flip the Shrimp: Turn the shrimp over and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until cooked through and opaque.
