1 cup of butter, softened

2 cups of sugar

4 eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp salt

1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling

For the glaze (optional):

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tbsp milk

½ tsp vanilla extract
