This Easy Lime Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting is so simple and tastes amazing. We made some modifications to a simple lemon cake mix to make one amazing and flavorful cake.
1 box Lemon Cake Mix 18.5 oz box
1 cup Vegetable Oil
1 box Lime Gelatin 3 oz box
3/4 cup orange juice
1/2 cup butter
8 oz softened Cream Cheese
Juice for 1/2 Lime about 3 tbsp
4 cup Powdered Sugar
1 – Preheat oven to 350.
2 – Grease two 9 inch cakes pans.
3 – Mix together cake mix, gelatin, oil, eggs, lime juice and orange juice.
4 – Pour into prepared pans.
5 – Bake for 25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
6 – Allow to cool.
7 – Beat together butter and cream cheese until fluffy.
8 – Gradually add powdered sugar, mixing until blended.
9 – Frost cake.
10 – You can optionally garnish with lime zest and lime slices.
